Mission Impossible III

Again, via email, Mom submits this review for your conisderation...

"Hate Tom Cruise didn't want to give him the money, but nothing ele to see. Big
action, better than the last one. I've seen worse."
"The DaVinci Code"

Via email, Mom submits this review...

"Tom Hanks was cute in splash, but he is not aging well. In fact he is ugly. actually George Clooney would have been better. Everyone else was well cast, especially the "Teacher". The music was wonderful, and I enjoyed it more than the book."

"Eight Below"

"The best movie we've seen in ages -- I haven't cried in a movie in years. I said that to Dad and he said 'Me too!'
The woman next to me must have a black eye from me jumping in my seat! And it was packed for a Wednesday night."

Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear's "The Matador"

Pierce Brosnan needs to get his teeth fixed. Greg Kinnear is cute. I want to try Bushmill's and pecan pie at midnight. Dad slept through it all and snorted during the quiet part. Its kind of a comedy and kind of a drama. I guess you call it black humor."

Queen Latifah's "Last Holiday"

I really enjoyed the movie. Everybody should have a "possiblities book". It's a good thing to daydream, and everybody should do so every day. When I walk away from a movie and feel good, and had a few good laughs, then it's a good movie. I think people have been writing, reading, and living fairy tales, since the beginning of time. It must be a good thing. Movie was well cast, and very entertaining. Even if it was a little far fetched, I still liked it. It was a good daydream.

Mom submitted her review of "Match Point" via email: Note -- spoilers!

"I would like to say first off, the movie by Woody Allen was an ingenious piece of work. Being an old moviegoer, I noted that he took the concept from "A Place In The Sun" (1951) with Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Cliff, and the case of Scott Peterson, put it in another country with some opera music and made a great, entertaining movie. Acting was great, lots of drama. Moral of the story is all about luck. If the ring hadn't gone in the river, he would have gone down the river. We all loved it."

"Casanova"

"If you've seen the trailer, you've seen the movie. It's kind of like Shakespeare In Love."
